Twilio API changes & breaking changes

Twilio's APIs span messaging, voice, verification, and, through SendGrid, transactional email, all described by published OpenAPI contracts. Detektu diffs every revision so a changed parameter in a product you use becomes a finding, not a support ticket.

Change model

How Twilio ships changes

The release patterns that shape your integration risk.

Twilio publishes OpenAPI specifications for its API surface and keeps resource versions stable for long stretches. The surface is broad, though, and changes to individual products (a parameter added to Messages, a tightened request schema on SendGrid's mail send) are easy to miss in release notes when you only use two of twenty products.

Detektu's diff names the exact product, operation, and property that changed, so you can match it against the Twilio and SendGrid endpoints your services actually call and ignore the rest.

Findings you'd see

Illustrative examples. Every real finding carries exact before/after evidence, severity, and source provenance.

Breaking

Info

New status enum value on message delivery

openapi:GET /2010-04-01/…/Messages/{Sid}.json ::status
